One of the most bright events of 2007, VII Jazz Bez '2007, which has been held on December 2 through 9 in 4 cities in Ukraine and 2 cities in Poland, is far behind. However our impressions, new acquaintance, lessons and the experience gained have stayed with us.
The festival has united 43 gigs, 116 musicians and the audience of 11000. Participants from the USA, Germany, Denmark, France, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine took part in the event, including such jazz legends as Lee Konitz, Petras Vysniauskas, Robertha Piket, Julian Thomas, Nikolay Trzaska, Karol Shimanovski, Piotr Baron, Jazek Kochan, Klaus Kugel etc.
We played in Lvov (Ukraine), Przemyszl (Poland), Sanok (Poland) and Ternopol (Ukraine). Every city was excellent in its own way, but the common thing was sincere attention and warm audience. Lvov has pleased by its philarmonic hall and the new ethno-jazz club "Lyalka". In Przemyszl and Sanok we were jamming with outstanding musicians from Monorail Quartet (Poland-USA). In Ternopol we have been accorded a hearty welcome by owercrowded hall of the local dramatic theatre. After that we were invited to dinner and jam with the local musicians, which have pleased us by their masterly performance and enthusiasm.
Sympathy of the audience has promoted us to the top 10 performance of the festival.

Fusion Orchestra have returned from the 5th ethno-jazz festival "Flyugery Lvova" (Lviv, Ukraine). In spite of the hard financial situation caused by recent political events in Ukraine the festival organization was excellent. To our surprise the audience met us very warmly and demonstrated a real interest in our performance. There were quite a few meetings with artistic people of the city, and we also were invited to participate in a "Jazz Bez" concert series touring Ukraine and Poland in December 2007.

We've made another attempt to renew our account on MySpace.com, this time with a slightly changed name S.F.O. (Sevastopol Fusion Orchestra). This was done just to check if the recent deletions were caused by coexisting of a memorial page of another group with the same name. That group existed in UK before 1973 and they had registered on MySpace just days after our original registration. So be quick to see us...

Fusion Orchestra have started recording a new album to be released by the end of the summer 2007. Traditionally all recording, mixing and premastering will be done in Fusion Studio by ourselves. Check the News later to get fresh info about this project.

This video includes several "passages" from our band's popular pieces and exclusive interviews with Enver Izmailov and Sergey Bogdan (Fusion Orchestra) - sorry but both interviews are in Russian.

The February 2007 issues of "AvtoZvuk" & "AudioVideo" magazines with a column about Fusion Orchestra have been released and now are available for purchase. These issues also contain the "Hot Chocolate" Audio CD that includes the "Jadido" track from our recent album "Octagon".

We have accepted an invitation from "AvtoZvuk" & "AudioVideo" magazines to participate in their Audio CD "Hot Chocolate" which will be released as an "audio-appendix" for these magazines. The track "Jadido" from the Fusion Orchestra CD "Octagon" will be included in that compilation. A brief article or column with the band's photo is also assumed. Total 80,000 copies of both issues will be printed in February 2007.

It's already about four months since our official website went live, and a little bit less since we registered in several musical web communities. So, in short it's time to summarize :).
Well, during this period we had about 7000 visitors from 45 countries, and the number of our mp3 track downloads exceeded 2200. At the same time on our musical community web pages we had more than 3000 visitors, over 1600 promo track streaming playbacks and more than 1000 downloads. So, statistically speaking, in total we've got about 10000 spectators and 5000 listeners that virtually corresponds to a concert in a big size music-hall with poor acoustics in its peanut gallery :). It's not a big result for this period of time but we are optimistic about the next year prospects...
We take this opportunity to thank all of our friends and fans for their support, belief in us and interest in our music - thank you very much!
According to many astrological forecasts the year 2007 (Year Of Pig) promises to be a very lucky one in all respects, and we wish you all to feel this fully in love, friendship, creativity and finance :)!

Fusion Orchestra came back from the Mamakabo-2006 fest dressed in festival's brand T-shirts and full of emotions and impressions. Open-air fest took place in the "Blue Gulf" resort, Koktebel, Crimea, Ukraine. This time special guests of the fest included a number of brilliant musicians like Enver Izmailov,
Ivan Smirnov, Dmitry Chetvergov etc. After a gig on the main stage the concerts moved to the "Bohemia" club where it was possible not just to meet the musicians but also jam with them. Fusion Orchestra opened fest's second day with five compositions from their new CD Octagon. They were greeted very warmly by the audience despite some different musical expectations formed by the previous day.
The quality of the stage equipment and professionalism of the sound engeneers were perfect, which allowed all the artists to show their art with maximum expression.

Fusion Orchestra have been officially invited to the three-day Crimean festival "Mamakabo-2006" to be held 7-10 September in Koktebel. The stage and time of our appearance will be specified later. Everybody's welcome!

Fusion Orchestra took part in the exhibition of Independent Art Fest "Takelazh ART", which was held in Yalta. It was an open air party in the City park. The paintings were good. We played for 4 hours. After that we came back home absolutely exhausted but contented.
